One of Farlong Pharmaceutical's leading proprietary all-natural supplements is Lifeflower® Breviscapine. Under the name Dengzhan Xixin, breviscapine (scientific name: Erigeron breviscapus) has thousands of years of use in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for blood and brain circulation, mild aging-related memory loss and cognitive health, including greater focus and clarity. Since its introduction to the world of Western medicine, breviscapus has undergone several scientific studies examining these many purported benefits. The following five studies and research reviews provide substantial evidence supporting their veracity.
Therapeutic Effects of Breviscapine in Cardiovascular Diseaseshttps://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28588491/
A 2017 review of research into the use of breviscapine in helping relieve cardiovascular disease found that it provided a wide array of potential heart benefits, including:
It found significant evidence for the effective use of breviscapine in combination with Western medicine to help relieve symptoms of the following Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs):
Chinese Herbal Medicine Dengzhan Xixin Injection for Acute Ischemic Stroke
Published in 2017, this report examined 25 randomized controlled trials comprising nearly 2,500 participants. Collectively, the researchers conducting these studies observed improvements in neurological function among patients with acute ischemic stroke after taking breviscapus.
Indirect Comparison of Erigeron Breviscapus Injection and Breviscapus Injection in Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke
Another 2017 meta-analysis of research into the efficacy of breviscapus in treating acute ischemic stroke, this one reviewed 39 randomized controlled trials comprising 4,180 participants that, collectively, found the breviscapus more effective than the standard conventional treatment. Breviscapine was also found more efficient and safer than the alternative.
Clinical Tolerability and Pharmacokinetics of Erigerontis Hydroxybenzene Injection
This 2015 study tested the potential neuroprotective effects of breviscapine. In other words, it tested the all-natural supplement as a possible preventative of CVD rather than a treatment for them, focusing primarily on its tolerability in healthy subjects. In short, researchers found it generally tolerated.
Visual Field Protective Effect of Erigeron Breviscapus
This double-blind clinical trial took place in 2010 to examine the use of breviscapus to treat glaucoma. At its conclusion, researchers found that breviscapus may at least partially protect the visual field of those with glaucoma.
